1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of every government office. It does not store official criminal records, conduct official checks, retrieve documents, or file forms for visitors.

Its purpose is to identify the Letcher County Sheriff, the Letcher Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry as distinct record sources, while also providing access to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you agree not to:

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar collection tools against the pages
• Interfere with the site's speed, availability, or use by others
• Attempt to enter restricted systems or gain unauthorized access
• Use information to stalk, threaten, or harass any person
• Rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Violate a federal, Kentucky, or local law while using the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use site content or a linked tool to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also be criminal. Kentucky publishes Kentucky Sex Offender Registry information under KRS 17.580 for safety awareness, not vigilante action, blacklisting, or discrimination. Misuse directed at a registrant may carry legal consequences.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our advertisers do not provide site services intended to screen applicants, assess renters, set insurance rates, or judge credit. You must not use site or linked-tool data to:

• Set insurance premiums or assess creditworthiness
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA

For an FCRA-regulated purpose, obtain an appropriate report through an FCRA-compliant provider or the official process required by Kentucky law.

Site content is not legal advice. General information about Letcher County criminal records cannot determine how a Kentucky warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to a particular person. Seek advice from a licensed Kentucky attorney.

Kentucky law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Kentucky. Public-agency records remain governed separately by applicable law, including the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884.

14. Severability
